The Missions of P.R.I.D.E. are as follows:
- To provide support and advocacy for all gays, lesbians, bisexuals, trangendered individuals, and gay-friendly heterosexuals within the university and the surrounding communities;
- To increase positive awareness of the GLBT community within the larger community of the Cameron University;
- To provide educational information on issues concerning gay, lesbian, and bisexual people as a means to curtail homophobia; and
- To create opportunities for safe and supportive social gatherings that strive to minimize the fear of harassment.
We desire to be an active part of the student body and community, while adhering to the criteria set forth above; as well as striving to live the definition of our name:
