Student Social Media Intern

Job Description

Responsibilities include monitoring social media channels for content pertaining to Student Housing, responding to questions and comments, and creating and posting new social content. Other duties may include assisting with public relations tasks of the office, as well as greeting visitors, answering and directing phone calls, taking accurate messages, and other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements


Applicants should have a working knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, Pinterest, LinkedIn and YouTube, along with other social media platforms. Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Publisher is an asset. Applicants must have excellent oral and written communication skills: strong organizational skills; the ability to multi-task; ability to pick up information quickly; work required hours; and ability to work unsupervised at times. Also, applicant must be able to answer the phone in a clear, professional manner and adhere to a strict policy of confidentiality. The successful candidate must be punctual, reliable, and have a positive attitude.

Upon successful completion of the internship for the Fall 2019 semester the selected student may be eligible for one credit hour benefit.
