Student Office Assistant – Student Support Services

Job Description

The Student Office Assistant will assist with daily office responsibilities and should possess a strong work ethic. Duties include, but not limited to:   greeting students and other visitors to the office and by telephone, setting up appointments, shredding, preparing out-going mail, copying, filing, making on-campus deliveries, and other duties as assigned.

Desire as first choice, but will work with student on hours:  Applicant willing to work morning hours Monday – Friday and during the lunch hour of 12-1pm.

Job Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  Applicants should have good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, such as Outlook email and calendar functions, Word, and Excel.  Have good oral and written communication skills.  Applicants should be able to file alphabetically and chronologically. Also, applicant must be able to adhere to a confidentiality policy.

SALARY AND WORK HOURS:  $7.50 per hour.  Position offers 16-20 hours per week within the regular office hours of 8am-5pm, when Cameron is in session.  This position will be from the start of fall semester till when spring semester ends.  Summer hours may be available, if enrolled.

REQUIRED PHYSICAL DEMANDS (Subject to reasonable accommodation): 

Standing/Walking: Moderate; activity exists approximately 1/3 of the time
Strength (Lift/Carry/Push/Pull): Light (Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally)
