Master of Science in Entrepreneurial Studies

The Master of Science in Entrepreneurial Studies consists of 33 semester hours of graduate credit in five parts: a core of 12 hours, specialization classes making up 12 hours, 3 hours of human/organizational behavior, 3 hours of elective credit, and a capstone class.

Students will have their choice of three options for specialization: Global Entrepreneurship, General Entrepreneurship, or Technological Entrepreneurship.

Students in the Master of Science in Entrepreneurial Studies program must participate in Cameron's comprehensive outcomes assessment program that consists of entry-level placement, program outcomes assessment, and student satisfaction assessment. Participation in the assessment activities is required as a condition of enrollment and graduation. Students in the program will be required to successfully pass a comprehensive exam based upon applied case studies within three attempts.

Students must have completed all degree and outcomes assessments and have a cumulative graduate GPA of 3.00 or above to be awarded a degree.

GOALS AND OBJECTIVES

The goal of the Master of Science in Entrepreneurial Studies at Cameron is to prepare men and women for professions specializing in entrepreneurship and entrepreneurship ventures, government agencies, educational institutions, or for further graduate study. The objectives for the Master of Science in Entrepreneurial Studies program are to:

  1. Provide a common body of knowledge at an advanced level necessary for entrepreneurial success;
  2. Provide a common body of knowledge at an advanced level necessary for global entrepreneurial competition;
  3. Provide a common body of knowledge at an advanced level of legal issues and enterprise structures pertinent to new venture creation; and
  4. Provide a body of knowledge at an advanced level for successful electronic commerce.
