The Cameron University Pick Axe Band is composed of students from across the university community. They perform at athletic events such as women's volleyball and men's and women's basketball games. The Pick Axe Band also participates in university events such as pep rallies, orientation events and recruiting efforts. The athletic department generously funds the band by paying for music, shirts, equipment and provides a stipend for students who register for and participate in the ensemble.
