The purpose of this program is to prepare individuals with technical
multimedia development and management skills. Graduates will be
prepared to maximize the opportunities presented by the media explosion
through the development of technical multimedia skills and through
management training.
Program Objectives
The AAS degree also apply to the BS program. In
addition, graduates of this program when given a training need will be
able to:
- Identify learner.
- Develop task analysis.
- Write specifications.
- Guide development activities.
- Develop and incorporate advanced computer graphics.
- Employ Instructional Systems Design using multiple tools.
- Use authoring program language to refine application.
- Develop storyboards, shot lists, and production schedules.
- Incorporate and edit audio and video.
- Write and edit text.
- Serve as a member of a multimedia team and gain experience to serve as a team leader.
- Perform web authoring and design.
Program Requirements
The following is designed to prepare graduates to serve as
developers and managers of multimedia development teams. This degree
extends technical skills developed in the Associate of Applied Science
in Multimedia Deign and provides business and managerial training. In
addition, the program includes general education courses designed to
provide training. In addition, the program includes general education
courses designed to provide common experiences which are needed by all
citizens to live effectively in a democratic society.
The 128 semester hour program consists of 50 semester hours of general
education, 49 semester hours of major courses, 3 semester hours of
related courses, and 25 semester hours of electives.
