Cameron Alumni to host benefit golf tourney 

 
The Cameron University Alumni Association will sponsor its 18th annual benefit golf tournament on Friday, Sept. 5, at the Fort Sill Golf Course. 

The four-man scramble, with a combined minimum team handicap of 35, is open to the public. Individuals or teams may enter. Lunch and afternoon registration will begin at 11 a.m., followed by a 12:30 p.m. shotgun start. A limited number of tee times are available at 8 a.m. for those unable to play that afternoon. 
 

Team gift certificates ranging from $100-$500 will be awarded to the top five teams. Awards will also be given for the longest drive, shot closest to the line and ball landing closest to the pin. Other awards include a traveling business trophy sponsored by KSWO-TV and a hole-in-one opportunity for $10,000 cash. All players will be eligible for great door prizes to be given away during the awards presentation. 
 

An entry fee of $50 per person includes greens fee, rental of one-half of a golf cart, cold drinks on the course, and an 11 a.m. lunch. 
 

Tournament proceeds will benefit the CU Alumni Association's scholarship fund and other projects.
