CU Alumni Association to host golf benefit



The Cameron University Alumni Association will sponsor its 16th annual benefit golf tournament on Friday, Sept. 7, at the Fort Sill Golf Course.



The four-man scramble is open to the public. Individuals or teams are invited to enter. Lunch and afternoon registration will begin at 11:30 a.m. with a shotgun start at 1 p.m. A limited number of tee times are available at 8 a.m. for anyone unable to play in the afternoon.



First and second low-gross awards will be presented in three flights. Awards will also be given to the longest drive, straightest drive and shot landing closest to the pin. Other awards include a traveling business trophy sponsored by KSWO-TV and two hole-in-one opportunities for a GMC truck sponsored by Lawson Autoplex and an above-ground spa sponsored by Blakley Pools.



An entry fee of $45 per person includes greens fee, rental of one-half of a golf cart, cold drinks on the course, goodie bag, an 11:30 a.m. lunch and chances at door prizes during the awards presentation. Players can play both morning and afternoon for $70 per person.



Tournament proceeds will benefit the Cameron Alumni Association's scholarship fund and other projects.
