*** NOTE: The deadline has passed for this scholarship.  Applications are no longer being accepted.

Cameron University is pleased to offer the Summer Next Level Incentive Scholarship for current freshmen and sophomores who have yet to enroll in for Summer 2017 or Fall 2017 classes. The scholarship award for each semester is $750. Eligible students interested in applying for the scholarship can contact CU’s Office of Financial Assistance.

“The Summer Next Level Incentive Scholarship will accelerate degree completion for freshmen and sophomores who are on the threshold of moving up to the next classification,” says Barry Beauchamp, Interim Vice President for Enrollment Management and Student Success. “We are encouraging our students to complete a baccalaureate degree in four years. For those who are lacking just a few hours to reach the next class, taking summer classes and at least 15 hours in the fall will put them on track for a four-year degree.”

In order to qualify for the scholarship, students must have a 2.75 GPA at the conclusion of the Spring 2017 semester, must enroll in and complete six hours during the Summer 2017 semester and have unmet need of $1,400 or more as of May 15, 2017. Freshmen students must have completed 24 to 29 hours at the conclusion of the Spring 2017 semester, and sophomore students must have completed 54-59 hours by the end of the Spring 2017 semester.

Students who enroll for Summer 2017 classes no later than May 30 and who complete six hours during the term will be eligible for a $750 scholarship. Students who enroll no later than August 1 for 15 hours or more for Fall 2017 will be eligible for a $750 scholarship. Students who meet the criteria for both summer and fall scholarships can receive $1,500.

Summer 2017 classes start on Thursday, June 1, and Fall 2017 classes start on Monday, August 21.
