Cameron University Dean of Students Zeak Naifeh has been appointed to the National Association for Campus Activities (NACA) Education Advisory Group. He will serve as a general member of the group for a two-year term.
Naifeh has served as CU’s Dean of Students since January 2015. He joined the Cameron staff in June 2006 as Director of Student Activities. In February 2012, his responsibilities were broadened to include oversight of the Aggie Rec Center and the McMahon Centennial Complex, and he was promoted to Director of Campus Life. He earned a Bachelor of Accounting from East Central University in 2004 and a Master of Education in Higher Education Leadership from the University of Arkansas in 2006. Naifeh is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Higher Education from Oklahoma State University.
His prior service to NACA includes serving as a regional board member and as the Conference Logistics Coordinator of NACA’s 2010 Central Conference. In 2011, he was honored with NACA’s Markley Award.
NACA provides knowledge, ideas and resources for campus life at institutions of higher education throughout the country. The organization provides members with programs and events that focus on student and professional leadership development, program planning, concert management, diversity and more.
The mission of NACA’s Education Advisory Group, established in fall of 2006, is to move forward educational initiatives for the development of students and professionals involved in campus activities. The group accomplishes its mission by identifying current issues in student activities and higher education and addresses them through NACA’s educational programs, publications, and projects.
