Cameron University has been ranked among the Top Military-Friendly Colleges in America by Bestcolleges.com, one of only 45 colleges and universities to be ranked. Of the 39 four-year institutions that made the list, Cameron is the second-most affordable option and is one of only 10 public, four-year institutions to achieve a ranking. Cameron’s tuition is 65.5% lower than the average tuition of $16,012 for the 45 ranked schools. Additionally, Cameron is located in one of only seven communities on the list which share a university and an active U.S. Army base.
“Cameron University remains committed to providing an affordable, top-quality education to active military members, veterans and their families,” says Cameron President John McArthur. “We strive to provide degree programs that are relevant to the military community, and our partnership with Fort Sill provides our students with outstanding field experiences. We are proud to be the home of the Comanche Battalion, one of the top Army ROTC programs in the nation. It is gratifying to be recognized as a Top Military-Friendly College.”
According to BestColleges.com, colleges featured on the Military-Friendly list go above and beyond in their approach to veterans and military families by offering additional services which include financial-aid opportunities beyond the norm, special counseling services, veteran-oriented career counseling and more. All schools are members of Servicemembers Opportunity Colleges (SOC), accept ACE credits toward degree completion, and participate in the Yellow Ribbon Program/Post-9/11 G.I. Bill.
