Auditions for “Electra” slated by Cameron University theatre production

Cameron University’s Department of Art, Music, and Theatre Arts continues its 2016-2017 theatre season celebrating “Stages through the Ages” with auditions for Sophocles’ “Electra” on Tuesday, November 29, and Thursday, December 1, at 7 p.m. in the Studio Theatre.  A classic Greek tragedy by Sophocles, “Electra” is a story of betrayal, murder, and revenge. Set in the city of Argos a few years after the Trojan War, it recounts the tale of Electra and the vengeance that she and her brother Orestes take on their mother Clytemnestra and stepfather Aegisthus for the murder of their father, Agamemnon.  The production will be performed on February 16-19, 2017.
