Cameron University accounting students awarded scholarships

Three Cameron University School of Business accounting majors have been awarded scholarships by the Oklahoma Society of CPAs (OSCPA) Educational Foundation. Harley Gault, Elgin; Austin Kendrix, Altus; and Chelsea Marks, Fletcher; have been selected to receive the scholarship. They will be honored, along with 29 other scholarship recipients from nine Oklahoma institutions of higher education, at the group’s 98th Annual Members Meeting in June.

Gault is a senior pursing a Bachelor of Accounting with a minor in Foreign Languages. She is a member of Phi Kappa Phi.

Kendrix is a senior who will complete degree requirements for a Bachelor of Accounting this summer. He is a member of the Presidential Leaders and University Scholars program.

Marks is a sophomore. She is a member of Phi Eta Sigma.

The OSCPA Educational Foundation is a nonprofit corporation that promotes the accounting profession by offering scholarships to Oklahoma's most promising accounting students. Scholarships are awarded to students who are enrolled in a four or five-year accounting program at an Oklahoma college or university. Applicants must have completed at least 12 hours in accounting, including at least six hours of intermediate accounting. Applicants also must have already completed at least 60 college hours, be an accounting major and be pursuing a Bachelor's or more advanced degree.
