Cameron’s Zombie Con 2015 to benefit American Red Cross

Are you ready for the Zombie Apocalypse? Join students from the Cameron University Department of History and Government as they present Zombie Con 2015, a supply drive benefitting the American Red Cross. The event takes place on Tuesday, July 21 in the CETES Conference Center from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Attendees are asked to bring new, unused travel-sized toiletry items such as shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, body wash and deodorant, as well as washcloths and toothbrushes. All items will be donated to the American Red Cross.

In addition to the supply drive, students from the summer 2015 class “Zombies and Politics” will present survival tips in the event of a Zombie Apocalypse. Topics include the fate of currency, the role of states, the best geographical safe zones, how to structure the scientific community, and what education might look like in the wake of zombies.

This light-hearted event is open to zombie fans of all ages, so embrace your inner zombie, bring some items to donate, and join the fun.
