The Cameron University forensics team, which has garnered substantial success at speech and debate tournaments throughout the academic year, will present a Forensics Showcase on Tuesday, April 14. The event will provide team members will an additional opportunity to fine tune their selections for the upcoming National Championship Tournament hosted by the National Forensic Association. The showcase will start at 7 p.m. in the Wichita Room of the Shepler Center and is open to the public at no charge.
“Cameron’s representatives have experienced an outstanding competition season,” says Sarah Collins, Director of Forensics. “This final preparation for the National Championship Tournament is a great opportunity to see what they have been doing all season and to wish them good luck as they head to the national tournament.”
Students will present a mixture of speaking events (Persuasive Speaking and After Dinner Speaking), interpretation/acting events (Prose, Poetry, Dramatic Interpretation) and Impromptu Speaking.
