Cameron University Business Research Center to host business forum on state and regional economy

Cameron University’s Bill W. Burgess, Jr. Business Research Center (BBRC) will host a business forum on the state and regional economy on Wednesday, February 25, from 1 to 3 p.m. in the CETES Conference Center. The keynote speaker will be Chad Wilkerson, Vice President and Oklahoma City Branch Executive, Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City. Wilkerson’s presentation will analyze how the U.S. and Oklahoma economies have been performing and how oil prices could affect the regional economic outlook for 2015. The forum is open to the public at no charge.

“The large decline in oil prices since last summer has created both economic benefits and concerns about the Oklahoma economy,” says Dr. Syed Ahmed, Director, BBRC. “The business forum will provide an overview and discussion of the long-term impact on the economy of southwest Oklahoma.”

A panel discussion will take place following Wilkerson’s presentation. Joining the panel will be Barry Ezerski, Broker/Owner, Pam & Barry’s Team/ReMax; Lyle Roggow, President, Duncan Area Economic Development Foundation; and Debra Welch, President/CEO, Lawton Fort Sill Chamber of Commerce.
