Cameron University to hold Diversity Leadership Summit

The Cameron University Office of Student Development will host the 2015 Diversity Leadership Summit on Saturday, March 28 in the CETES Conference Center from 8:30 a.m. to Noon. The event, titled “Breaking Down Barriers: The High Road to Cultural Diversity,” is open to Cameron students as well as student leaders from local high schools. There is no charge to attend, although registration is requested to confirm attendance. Registration can be completed online at; the registration deadline is Monday, March 23. Designed to provide students with the tools and knowledge to become leaders in a diverse world, the event will feature presentations by Marshana Moore, who will speak about her experiences as an educator in Jamaica; Dr. Edris Montalvo on “Racial and Ethnic Identities” and Davison Virgil on “Self-Efficacy and Empowerment.”
