“Bosnia,” an artistic color photograph by Cameron University faculty member Dejan Mraović, assistant professor of art, has been selected for “Small Works,” a group exhibition hosted by the Limner Gallery in Hudson, N.Y. The show, featuring 36 works of art including photographs, paintings, drawings, sculptures, prints and mixed media, will be on display from January 29 to February 21.
“Bosnia,” a 6.75” x 9” photograph, was taken by Mraović in the Dinaric Alps in northern Bosnia.
“The picturesque and sleepy landscape is a strong contrast to the country’s recent troubled history,” says Mraović. “I am thrilled that the Limner Gallery, which has supported modern and contemporary art for almost 30 years, has selected this piece for inclusion in the Small Works exhibition.
A native of Belgrade, Serbia, Mraović joined the Cameron faculty in Fall 2014. His artwork has been displayed in solo exhibitions, group shows and art festivals for more than 10 years. He has a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design from the College of Visual and Applied Arts, Belgrade, Serbia, and a Master of Fine Arts in Graphic Design from Ohio University. He has also worked extensively as a graphic designer and photographer, and his work has been published in numerous graphic design anthologies, magazines, websites and newspapers.
