Cameron University students win ADDY Awards

Sixteen Cameron University students were rewarded for their work in an advertising class during the recent 49th Annual American Advertising Awards (ADDYs) sponsored by the Oklahoma City Ad Club. Four television commercials produced as part of an ad campaign for the Red River Best Chevy Dealers were honored with awards. The commercials were produced as a class assignment in Dr. Theresa Billiot’s advertising class during the Fall 2014 semester. To view the award-winning spots, go to

“I am extremely proud of our students,” says Billiot. “Each student was a hands-on contributor, shared ideas and opinions, and interacted with each group and across the entire class to complete these projects. As professors, we strive to make our student groups work together effectively; these students shaped a classroom culture of smart, determined and creative students with limitless abilities who wanted everyone in the class to succeed. This culture helped us create an award-winning class with 16 students winning ADDYS rather than one or two award-winning students.”
