The Cameron University Department of Music will host an All-Region Audition Preparation Clinic to prepare high school music students for the Oklahoma Music Educators Association all-region auditions for the 2015 All-State Band. The clinic will take place on Saturday, October 25, from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and will be conducted by members of the Cameron faculty and guest instrumentalists. Emphasis will be placed on excerpt preparation, tone production, technique development, scales, sight-reading strategies and audition preparedness. Instruments to be demonstrated include bassoon, clarinet, euphonium, flute, horn, oboe, percussion, saxophone, trombone, trumpet and tuba.
With the exception of percussion, students should bring instruments and All-Region music and be prepared to play. Cameron will provide all percussion instruments. Percussion students are required to bring sticks, mallets and music.
