The Cameron University Department of Music will present the Cameron University Concert Band in concert on Monday, March 12. The concert takes place at 7:30 p.m. at the Cameron University Theatre. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for seniors, military and students. Admission is free to Cameron students, faculty and staff with a CU ID.
The Cameron University Concert Band, conducted by Dr. Roy Couch, Assistant Professor of Music, will “Overture for Winds” by Charles Carter; “The Promise of Living” by Aaron Copland, transcribed by Kenneth Singleton; “American Folk Rhapsody No. 2” by Clare Grundman; “Forged in Fire” by Mark Watters, transcribed for band by Mr. Watters and Ira Hearshen; “Portraits” by Jim Colonna; “Milli Attan: A National Dance of Afghanistan” arranged by Floyd E. Werle; and “Blackwater” by Fergal Carroll.
