Camaraderie, good cheer, good conversation, and good food will reign when the CU@SC series returns with a “Holiday Victorian Tea,” hosted by Dr. Vivian Thomlinson, on Sunday, December 2 at 3 p.m. The special event is hosted by the Cameron University School of Liberal Arts and takes place at the Simmons Center’s Chisholm Hall. Admission is $10 and $5 for children. CU students, faculty and staff are admitted free with valid CU ID. Seating is limited and reservations are required. To RSVP, call 580-581-2491.
“The Victorian tea has become a holiday tradition, bringing together Cameron and the Duncan community,” says Thomlinson, a professor of English. “The number of attendees has grown every year since we started the tea, so I recommend reserving a spot as soon as possible.”
The Victorian Holiday Tea will include holiday-themed music and Victorian poetry. Refreshments will include an assortment of English “tea time” goodies including cucumber sandwiches, crumpets, scones and jam, English trifle, and a variety of hearty teas served in china teacups.
CU@SC’s Holiday Victorian Tea is made possible by the Simmons Center Community Spirit Program.
