Cameron to host Christmas Classic Speech and Debate Tournament

Representatives from more than 20 campuses across the United States will head to Cameron University to participate in the university's annual CU Christmas Classic Speech and Debate Tournament from December 5-6. The tournament is hosted by CU's Communication Department and the Oklahoma Omicron chapter of Pi Kappa Delta.  

"Hosting the annual CU Christmas Classic is a highlight of our forensics season," says Dan Schabot, CU Director of Forensics. "The Cameron campus will be teeming with students from around the country as they hone their performance skills."

Entrants will vie for honors in a variety of individual and team events. Individual events include After Dinner Speaking, Dramatic Interpretation, Poetry, Informative Speaking, Impromptu Speaking, Prose, Extemporaneous Speaking, Program Oral Interpretation, Persuasive Speaking, and Communication Analysis. Pairs will compete in Dramatic Interpretation. Debaters will compete in either NPDA debate or LD debate.
