CU to host Aggie Sneak Peek in November

Prospective college students and their parents are invited to Cameron University's Aggie Sneak Peek Fall Preview Day on Saturday, November 8 from 9 a.m. until Noon. The three-hour event provides a prime opportunity to discover the benefits of a college education at Cameron.

"Choosing a university is a life changing decision," says Jamie Glover, Associate Vice President for Enrollment Management. "Aggie Sneak Peek is intended to provide prospective students a glimpse into the opportunities that await them at Cameron University by interacting with faculty, staff and students from the university.  Our goal is to demonstrate how Cameron can meet each student's educational goals as well as provide valuable information about the steps involved in becoming an Aggie."

The program kicks off in the Shepler Ballroom at 9 a.m. with registration and breakfast. At 9:30 a.m., CU President Cindy Ross will welcome participants before turning the floor over to Jessica Daoang, Student Government Association President, who will tell attendees about "The Aggie Advantage." Information on campus housing, financial assistant and scholarships, student services and admissions will also be presented.

At 10:30 a.m., the action moves to the CU Fitness Center for a Browsing Fair, providing participants the opportunity to visit one-on-one with faculty and advisers in the student's major area of interest. Representatives from student activities, student clubs, and student governance organizations will also be on hand for the event.

"The Browsing Fair is a great time for prospective students to interact with CU faculty and staff," says Glover. "It's an excellent opportunity to learn about different majors and their requirements, as well as to find out about the student organizations that are vital to the complete college experience at Cameron."

Following the browsing fair Cameron's Aggie Ambassadors will provide tours of Cameron's vibrant campus and student housing.
