CU Music Department presents “An Evening of Opera Scenes”

The Cameron University Department of Music will present "An Evening of Opera Scenes" featuring CU opera workshop students on Saturday, November 1, 2008, at 8 p.m. in the Cameron University Theatre. This special evening of arias and ensembles will feature CU vocal music students including Sonja Detweiler, Jasmine Glass, Sabrina Harrell, Erin Hoff, Anjelika Ramsdell, Matt Armstrong, Eli Ramirez, Jonathan Phelps, and Robert White, all of Lawton/Fort Sill. The recital will be co-directed by Jan Logan and Dr. Earl Logan, music professors of vocal performance.

Selections will include scenes from Mozart's "Marriage of Figaro" and "Don Giovanni," Niccolai's "Merry Wives of Windsor" and Puccini's "Turandot." Holly Hill-Le, CU adjunct music instructor, will provide accompaniment on piano.

Admission to this opera-scenes concert is $6 for adults and $4 for students/military. CU faculty, staff, and students with a valid CU I.D. will be admitted free.

Financial assistance for this event has been provided by the Southwest Oklahoma Opera Guild.
