Cameron Concert Band announces fall performance

The Cameron University Concert Band, directed by Dr. Roy Couch, will present its annual Fall concert on Thursday, November 20, at 8 p.m. at the University Theatre. Admission to the concert is $6 for adults and $4 for students and senior adults.  For more information, contact the CU Department of Music at 580-581-2440.

Members of the CU Concert Band are Sarah Goedicke and Courtney Overbay of Altus; Amber Austin and Eric Vitense of Cache; Lorenzo Diaz, Andrew Finley and Jonathan Fletcher of Duncan; Melissa Caswell of Elgin; Jamie Armstrong, Kaetlyn Brennan, Shanice Biggins, Elizabeth Bryan, Melissa Delgado, Steven Feldman, Cara Hall, Korynne Gonzales, Grant Johnson, Richard Johnson, Jarrod Laroche, Blaine McKinney, Steven Melton, Randy Neal, Ian Quarterman, Kevyn Reece, Klay Reece, Heather Rivera, Eric Roloff, Curtis Strong, Jeremy Toombs, Aaron Yuhas, all of Lawton/Fort Sill; Kimberly Garza of Iowa Park, TX; and Nathaniel Kuhn and Ryan Stokes of Terrell, TX.                            

 CU professor Dr. Karla Oty will perform with the band on horn.

 Musical selections include will be "Festival Prelude" by Alfred Reed; "Chorale and Shaker Dance" by John Zdechlik; "His Honor" by Henry Fillmore; "Tribute to Grainger" arranged by Ragsdale; "Freckles Rag" by Larry Buck; "Festive Proclamation" by Claude Smith; Wagner's "Elsa's Procession to the Cathedral," transcribed by Cailliet; "Folk Dances" by Shostakovich, edited by Robert Reynolds; and "Amparito Roca" by Jaime Texidor.
