Cameron University invites residents of Duncan and the surrounding area to get into the holiday spirit at CU's annual holiday tree lighting ceremony and community reception. The event takes place on Tuesday, December 9 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Cameron University - Duncan campus, located at 3100 W. Bois d'Arc.
"To show our appreciation of the tremendous support that CU-Duncan enjoys from the residents of Duncan and the surrounding communities, we'd like to invite community members to join us for a festive evening of fellowship and holiday activities," says Susan Camp, Director of CU-Duncan. "This will be a fun night where families can celebrate the spirit of the season."
The come-and-go event will include horse-drawn carriage rides, cookie-decorating stations for kids of all ages, musical performances by the Cameron University Opera Workshop Singers and the lighting of a fully decorated holiday tree. Hot cocoa, coffee, cupcakes, popcorn balls and cookies will be served.
