The TRIO Computer Lab
The TRIO computer lab is a resource for SSS and McNair students who desire convenient accessibility to computer technology. The TRIO computer lab is a modern computer lab that is equipped with multimedia computer systems that have internet and e-mail capabilities. Students with all levels of computer experience are welcomed and encouraged to use the TRIO computer lab for all their technological assignments and projects.
The TRIO computer lab offers a quiet and interactive environment in which to conduct internet research, type papers, or catch up on e-mail messages. The TRIO computer lab is equipped with up-to-date computers along with popular software applications. Individual tutoring focusing on how to navigate through software applications is available on a limited basis. Check with the Student Support Services/McNair main office for tutoring availability.
The TRIO computer lab is located in the North Shepler Building room 436 and is open M - F from 8:30am to 4:30pm during the spring and fall semesters. * Hours during the summer semester are limited. Check with the Student Support Services/McNair main office for summer hours.
Workshops to help enhance individual computer skills are offered throughout the spring and fall semesters for all Student Support Services/McNair members. Check with the Student Support Services/McNair main office (North Shepler, room 413) or call (580) 581-2352 for computer workshop dates and times.
Tutoring Labs Available For McNair Scholars
Student Support Services offers free tutoring to McNair Scholars through their academic labs and individual tutors. Four tutoring labs are offered through SSS for McNair and SSS member's to use. The tutoring labs are set up on a walk-in basis for SSS/McNair members. Lab hours are posted each semester on each lab door and are also available in the SSS/McNair program office. SSS tutoring labs can usually provide more one-on-one tutoring than the larger university labs. The SSS labs provide tutoring assistance for academic success. Tutoring can be an important key to establishing basic skills and surviving courses. SSS tutoring labs are located on campus at:

Tutoring received in the academic labs is available M-F during regular tutoring hours. Tutoring is NOT available in the academic labs after 5pm and weekends.
