MathCom is a Cameron University Student Organization in Mathematics and Computer Science. It is open to everyone. MathCom assists in developing skills and leadership through peer, student, and faculty support.

Math Jeopardy
We will have our second Math Jeopardy Competition for the semester at 4:00 pm on Friday March 12th at Burch Basement RM 026. Sign up ASAP before March 11th. The sign up sheet will be on Dr. Oty's door. We'll do individual jeopardy this time, so you don't have to sign up as a group. You are welcome to come and watch the Jeopardy as well. We'll have pizza and drinks and we'll have prizes for the top 3 individuals.

Integration Bee
We might have an Integration Bee Competition on the same day after the Math Jeopardy. More information will be given later.

Next Meeting

We will have our next MathCom meeting on Monday 3:30-4:30pm March 22nd in burch basement classroom 026. We'll have cookies and drinks as usual.

Past Event

TORUS Conference
The Torus Conference was on Saturday Feb. 27th at Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, Texas. Our team of William, Ryan, and Nitesh placed second in the Math Jeopardy Competition. Our president, Jingshu, made a presentation on "Enclosing Roots of Polynomial Equations and their Applications to their Iterative Process."
