E-mail for Cameron Students

MS Outlook Web Access

All currently enrolled Cameron Students have a free e-mail account.

Official Cameron University communications are sent to this account, so it is important to monitor it. 

Access Cameron Student E-mail

1.  On the Desktop, select the Internet Explorer icon. 

     Or click on Start, then Programs, and finally Internet Explorer version 6 (or Netscape version 7).

 

2.  Type in http://studentemail.cameron.edu

Computers in the Library Computer Lab have a shortcut icon on the desktop that can also take you directly to the Student Mail web page. 

E-mail Address

user name@studentemail.cameron.edu

For example, John's e-mail address would be: jc123456@studentemail.cameron.edu

User Name and Password

Username (Login):
Initials must be in lowercase!
First initial of your first name, first initial of last name, then the last 6 digits of your Student ID Number. 

Password:
Initials must be in lowercase!
First initial of your first name, first initial of last name, then the last 5 digits of your Social Security Number. 

For example: Student John C. Computes, Student ID 000123456, Social Security Number 123-45-6789
     His Username = jc123456
     His Password = jc56789

NOTE: Use your login username and password to access: Library databases from off campus (search for articles in journals), Blackboard (online) courses, logging into CU computers, and your student e-mail account. 

Functions within e-mail

New E-mail

     Click New button and write your e-mail message.  When complete, press Send button.

Delete E-mail

     Highlight message by clicking on it and select X to delete it.

Help

     Instructions for using Microsoft Office Outlook Web Access.

Options

     Personalize by adding a signature, changing the reading pane or colors, etc.

Calendar

     Enter and track your appointments.

 

Log Off

Be sure to log off of your e-mail account.  Also, log off of the computer.  Protect your privacy! 

 Special Note

All students are encouraged to login to their account at the beginning of the semester.  Each student is responsible for maintaining absolute password security.  Passwords must not be shared with another user.  Password sharing can result in loss of account privileges.

Computer Assistance is available in the Library Computer Lab from Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, from the Computer Lab Assistant.
