Introducing Cameron University's New Automated Library Management System
Cameron Library has "migrated" its online catalog and its acquisitions, cataloging, and circulation functions to a new automated system. As a result, patrons can now search the library's holdings with greater efficiency and effectiveness, view their own circulation accounts, renew materials online, and request items on loan to others.
Patrons can make book purchase recommendations and view information about serial issue expected and received dates. During the next few months, librarians will configure the system to enable simultaneous searching of multiple databases and digitization of materials related to Cameron's history.
Librarians are in the process of creating printed online catalog use directions and classroom instruction sessions designed to enable students and faculty members to best use the system.
