Tim Tingle

Funds from the Clodus and Pauline Smith Endowed Lectureship in American Indian Studies enabled the library to present nationally renowned storyteller and author Tim Tingle on March 3, 2010, in the CETES Conference Center.  Tingle brought the lore of the Choctaw Nation to life as he recalled personal and traditional stories, accompanying himself to the rhythms of a drum.  He further delighted the crowd by singing in his native tongue.  His presentation was followed by a reception and book signing.
