Cameron University Library participated in the national literary initiative, “The Big Read,” by hosting a panel discussion about John Steinbeck’s novel, The Grapes of Wrath.  Dr. John Morris, Dr. Suzanne Crawford, and Dr. Jerry Dodd each discussed the book in relation to his or her respective disciplines:  history, agriculture, and English. Panelists provided audience members vivid descriptions of Dust Bowl events and their impact on Oklahoma history.  This panel discussion proved particularly meaningful in light of the fact that Oklahoma celebrates its centennial this year. The event occurred  on Tuesday, October 23, 2007 at 7:00 PM in the library media room.
