Every year, February marks the remembrance of important people and events in the history of African Americans by recognizing and celebrating Black History Month. This year was no different. On February 5th, Cameron University Library brought Oklahoma author Hannibal Johnson to campus. Johnson spoke about our state’s checkered history of diversity and racial equality. He then encouraged attendees to embrace and celebrate our differences as we move into the future. Following his presentation, Johnson signed his books at a brief reception. The reception was furnished by the Student Development office.
