Cameron University Library was co-host for the 2009 Oklahoma Chautauqua, “Lincoln’s Legacy of Equality: Voices on the Fringe.”  Daily workshops were provided by the five scholars:  Dr. Doug Mishler, Charles Pace, Ilene Evans, Dr. Michael Hughes, and Dr. Carroll Peterson.  These workshops provided glimpses of the social, cultural, and political nuances of the Civil War era.  In addition, the scholars portrayed actual historical figures each evening at the public library plaza.
