To Kill a Mockingbird
Cameron University Library partnered with the Lawton Public Library to sponsor The Big Read, February 14-March 20, 2010. The Big Read, a National Endowment for the Arts program, engaged the entire Lawton-Fort Sill community in reading and discussing one book, To Kill a Mockingbird. Cameron librarians participated in The Big Read by leading book discussions at various locations around town. In addition, the library was the site of a panel discussion led by faculty members Dr. John Morris, Dr. Suzanne Crawford, and Dr. Sue Hoppe. These panelists focused on the cultural, social and historical aspects of the novel.
