Printing a PowerPoint presentation as a handout

In Microsoft PowerPoint, when you click on print, a new window will open:

If you click on print straight away, your print job will have 1 slide per page.  This can be quite wasteful, particularly if the presentation contains many slides. 

An effective method of printing a PowerPoint presentation is to print it as a handout.  Underneath the Print what: section of the Print window above, is a drop-down menu.  Click on the  and select the Handouts option. 

On the right-hand side of this menu are the Handouts options.  You can select to print up to 9 slides per page. 

Once you have chosen your settings, click on OK.
