Ruler Margin Difficulties in Microsoft Word

If your margins, layout, and/or indentation, for some reason "just doesn't look right" on-screen, despite adjusting settings in the Page Setup and Paragraph options, then the problem may actually lie within the Microsoft Word ruler. 

On the ruler, there are several toggle buttons you can click-and-drag across the ruler:

Try and move the toggle buttons back to their default locations, as shown in the image below:

If this doesn't solve the problem, it may be possible that you might need to change the view of Microsoft Word, or that you might need to adjust the zoom in Microsoft Word.
