Printing a PowerPoint presentation from the Internet
From time to time, students may need to print a copy of online PowerPoint presentations, as often seen in Blackboard. Usually, these presentations are viewed within Internet Explorer, where the regular PowerPoint print icon is not shown.
To print a PowerPoint presentation from the Internet, right-click anywhere on the current slide you are viewing. A pop-up menu appears:

Clicking on the Print option in this menu will provide you with the regular print settings offered within PowerPoint. When you click on print, a Print window will open:

If you click on print straight away, your print job will have 1 slide per page. This can be quite wasteful, particularly if the presentation contains many slides.
An effective method of printing a PowerPoint presentation is to print it as a handout. Underneath the Print what: section of the Print window above, is a drop-down menu. Click on the
and select the Handouts option.
On the right-hand side of this menu are the Handouts options. You can select to print up to 9 slides per page.
Once you have chosen your settings, click on OK.
If you do not get a print option when your right-click on the slide, it is most likely that the PowerPoint presentation has been converted into web page (HTML) format. If this is the case, you will need to print each slide individually.
