Passwords

• Make your password at least 8 characters in length
  
• Include at least one UPPERCASE character
  
• Include at least 1 numeric character
  
• Don't use words found in the dictionary
  
• Don't use names of friends, family, pets, sports, etc.
  
• Never use your userid as your password
  
• If you write down your password, NEVER place it near your computer.
  
• Keep it in a secure place.

PASSWORD CHANGE



HP3000



1. Log in to the HP3000 as normal
   
2. Once you have pressed return from entering your personal password, you are given three options. Press P to Set New Password.
   
3. Enter your new password
   
4. Enter your new password again, to confirm



Windows 2000 Log-in



1. Press the keys Control - Alt - Delete
   
2. Click the Change Password button
   
3. Enter your old password
   
4. Enter your new password
   
5. Enter your new password again, to confirm
