Passwords
1. Do's and Don'ts in creating a password: - Make your password at least 8 characters in length
- Include at least one UPPERCASE character
- Include at least 1 numeric character
- Don't use words found in the dictionary
- Don't use names of friends, family, pets, sports, etc.
- Never use your userid as your password
- If you write down your password, NEVER place it near your computer.
- Keep it in a secure place.
2. Changing your password: Faculty Passwords
Click the link below to change your CU passwords.
HP3000
- Log in to the HP3000 as normal
- Once you have pressed return from entering your personal password, you are given three options. Press P to Set New Password.
- Enter your new password
- Enter your new password again, to confirm
Windows 2000 Log-in
- Press the keys Control - Alt - Delete
- Click the Change Password button
- Enter your old password
- Enter your new password
- Enter your new password again, to confirm
