Banner/AggieAccess (FAQ)Q: How do I login to Banner? Banner INB requires the Sun Java Plug-in and the install will be initiated the first time the user accesses the INB link. Banner 8.x support Firefox 2+ using Java Plug-In only. The specific versions used in Banner 8.0 testing are Firefox 2.0.0.12 and JPI 1.5.0_06 Q: When I try to login to Banner (INB) for the first time it prompts me to install Sun Java Plug-In Q: Firefox has been updated and the Sun Plug-In is no longer installed? A. Copy the file npjpi160_04.DLL in the folder C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.6.0_04\bin to the Firefox plugins folder. The plugins folder is usually at C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\plugins . Q: How do I get access to the "Student Info" tab in AggieAccess? A: You will need to request "student-info" access through the User Management System (Online C3). Q: When I try to load Internet Native Banner from AggieAccess I get prompted for a password? A: You should not get prompted for a password. Logout of AggieAccess and reset your Windows password (if you need help here contact the helpdesk). Your password must include at least one character and one digit in order to work with Internet Native Banner. Once your Windows password is reset login to AggieAccess again and try to load Banner. You should be signed in automatically. Q: Why do I not have a "Banner Links" channel in AggieAccess on the Employee tab. A: This is because you do not have "banner" access requested/setup yet. Please request "banner" access through the User Management System (Online C3). Q: My Windows password was just changed and now I receive an "Access Denied" error message in AggieAccess when trying to access Eprint? A: When your Windows password changes you must first login INB (Banner) so that your password is synced. After you successfully login to Banner you can logout. Now in AggieAccess you should be able to access the Eprint. Q: When I click on the INB Requisition Links under the "Admin Services" tab in AggieAccess the menu bar at the top of the screen does not display any of the drop down menus. A: This seems to be a problem specific to Internet Explorer 8. Switch to Firefox to resolve as this browser does not have this issue. |
