Shepler Center

The Shepler Center Dormitory and Cafeteria were constructed in 1968-69. From 1971 to 1987, the Federal Aviation Administration rented North Shepler for its students, offices, and classes. The lower four floors of North Shepler were renovated the next fall in 1988 to house student affairs offices. South Shepler's first four floors also underwent renovation in the early ninety's to create needed offices and classroom space. Today the center operates as Cameron's only residence halls and houses approximately 250 students a semester. North Shepler, once also known as May Hall after May B. Shepler, houses the female students while South Shepler, once known as Ned Hall after Ned Shepler, houses the male students. Shepler Mezzanine, located between the two towers, provides cafeterias and a gathering place for students on the lower floor and a banquet hall on the second floor.
