The first India Night event was held in 2004 and was hosted by the Department of Business here at Cameron University. India Night is a major cultural event held on campus for students, faculty/staff and the Lawton community. This event is funded largely by lectureship funds provided by Drs. Ajay and Shireen Bhargava of Lawton, Oklahoma.
India Night will be held Friday, March 9. The evening will begin with dinner and keynote speaker at 6:00 p.m. in the McCasland Foundation Ballroom. Traditional Indian foods will be served at the dinner, and will feature the Food Network's Aarti Sequeira for the keynote.
The evening will conclude in the University Theatre with a vibrant Bollywood performance by Infused Performing Arts of Houston, TX.
Tickets for dinner are $30 ($5 for CU students), and the event in the theatre is free and open to the public. Tickets can be purchased in Events Management (CETES 202), until March 8. For more information, call 580-581-2291.
