Angela Stanley-McCloud

Angela Stanley-McCloud is a Licensed Professional Counselor and owner of a private practice in Lawton, Oklahoma. As an LGBTQ-affirmative gender therapist, Angela’s collaborative approach to therapy lends itself to being both supportive and challenging while addressing each of her clients individual and unique needs. In working with clients, Angela seeks to help clients become empowered to voice their experiences, derive insight and meaning from their struggles, and receive the support and practice feedback needed to thrive in the face of challenges both large and small. Angela focuses on providing a safe, supportive environment so clients feel free to explore, heal, and grow. She offers an eclectic approach to therapy that centralizes on a client-centered perspective, in which therapy is tailored to each person’s unique needs; employing techniques and concepts from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychoanalysis, multicultural psychology, and queer theory.

 Angela is experienced in working with a wide variety of client populations with a variety of concerns. Her areas of focus include depression, anxiety, bipolar, grief, stress, life transitions, trauma, and LGBTQ-specific issues. She is a member of the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH) and support the Standards of Care for Transgender health. Angela and her wife live in Lawton, Oklahoma and are very much a part of the LGBTQ+ community in the area.
