HONORS PROGRAM

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Freshmen applicants for admission to the Honors College must meet the following requirements:

  1. Achieve a minimum ACT composite score of 25 or combined math/verbal SAT score of 1,200 or higher, OR
  2. Achieve a High School (weighted or un-weighted) GPA of 3.5 or higher, AND
  3. Meet the general admission requirements of the University 

Procedure for admission to the Honors Program: Qualifying high school seniors/graduates who have been admitted to Cameron will be extended a letter of invitation to join the Honors Program. Invited students will then complete an online Application form with an accompanying essay. Once approved, a letter of acceptance will be sent to the student.

Current Cameron University students must meet the following requirement:

  1. Achieve a cumulative Cameron University GPA of 3.2

Transfer students from other colleges must meet the following requirement:

  1. Achieve a cumulative college GPA of 3.2
