Founded in the 2012 fall semester, the Cameron University Honors Students Society is open to all Honors Students. Recognized during Convocation, this society plans and coordinates activities across campus and within the community throughout the semester. To plan new activities, we strongly encourage you to join this Honors Society. |
Honors Student Orientation
Each fall and spring semester, the Office of Extended Learning invites all honors students for a general Honors Program Students Orientation. This orientation provides an opportunity to meet fellow honors students, learn about upcoming honors classes, and get enrollment advice.

Honors Research Summit 2019
Monday, February 18th
11:30am - 1:30pm
McMahon Centennial Complex Ballroom
Open to all CU students interesting in showcasing their research during this poster board presentation. CU students planning to attend Oklahoma Research Day (March 8), are encouraged to take advantage of this "practice run" opportunity! CU Printing Services will print posters "FREE of Charge", compliments of the CU Honors Students Society.
To participate:
- Contact the Office of Extended Learning (see below) to request Abstract Forms and submit Research Abstract.
- Submit Abstract electronically by 11:59am on January 31st
- Submit pdf/pptx file version of poster to CU Printing Services no later than February 8th
- Present poster on February 18th

Professional Conference Presentations
Throughout the academic year, several honors students have presented their research at regional and national conferences including the regional meeting of the American Chemical Society, Southwestern Psychological Society, Oklahoma Research Day, Oklahoma Academic of Science, etc.
