Study Abroad

Cameron University’s Study Away Opportunities provide academically sound study opportunities aimed at fostering national awareness and appreciation of different cultures. Cameron University is committed to providing students quality educational experiences that include a variety of study away opportunities for those students who are interested in exploring options beyond those offered in the traditional classroom setting.

As part of the CU AWAY: YOUR PASSPORT TO A GREAT EDUCATION, we offer the following study abroad experiences:

Offered by the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education (OSRHE) and the University of Wales, Swansea (Swansea
University), the Brad Henry International Scholar Program at Swansea University in Wales, U.K. seeks undergraduate
students from Oklahoma regional universities who have excellent academic qualifications, outstanding writing and
communication skills, exemplary character, demonstrated leadership qualities, maturity, and judgment for participation in
an exciting student exchange program in Wales in the United Kingdom.

Offered through the University of Southern Mississippi, the British Studies program seeks highly motivated students from all disciplines to study for four weeks at King’s College in London, U.K. Students live and learn in London, a city of 8 million people from every corner of the world. As a student, you will have the opportunity to study a topic of your choice and do field research in major cities across Europe.

Embedded into a 16-week course to provide the relevant academic background, Study Away Tours visit different cities during Spring Break. In doing so, you have opportunities to actually experience cultural and historical aspects of cities across the United States and gain a broad view of cultural diversity. To participate in study away events, you must be enrolled full-time during the semester of the event and maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5.
