Summer

☐ Enroll in classes
☐ Get your CU ID and parking permit from One Stop.
☐ Check on your financial aid.

August

☐ Check out all of the awesome Welcome Week activities.
☐ Always attend your classes!
☐ In the first week of the semester, gather all your syllabi and enter dates for all papers, projects, tests and finals in a weekly planning calendar. Track social activities and co-curricular commitments here as well.
☐ Check your CU email account often. Read all correspondence from CU. You will receive information about advising, enrollment, scholarship opportunities and other important matters via your CU email account.
☐ If you need to change your schedule at the beginning of the semester, refer to the Academic Calendar for important add/drop deadlines and consult with your advisor immediately. The Academic Calendar also can be found online at www.cameron.edu/info/calendars/academic
☐ Start thinking about getting an on-campus job. You can find a listing of them in AggieAccess on the Student Life tab.
☐ Update your campus address and cell phone number if it has changed since the prior year.
☐ Register on College Central Network.

September

☐ Check out student organizations that appeal to your interest and major.
☐ Make sure you are talking with your professors early on in the semester. They are there to help you understand and learn what is going on in the classroom. Asking for help early pays off big in the long run.
☐ Don’t miss the Freshman Ice Cream Social hosted by President McArthur.
☐ Visit Career Services.
☐ Attend Part-Time Job Fair.
☐ Complete FOCUS 2.
☐ Make an advising appointment early in the semester for Spring 2018 enrollment.  Schedule your appointment online at www.cameron.edu/advising-center by clicking on the "Book Now" button.

October

☐ Record the date and time of your enrollment window opening in your weekly planning calendar so that you can finalize your enrollment as soon as your enrollment window opens to ensure you get the schedule you want.
☐ Right after Fall Break, log in to AggieAccess and check your mid-term grades. If you would like to do better, ask for help by meeting with your instructor or using one of the tutorial labs on campus.
☐ Check your finals schedule and make sure all your final exams are in your planner.
☐ Fill out your FAFSA as soon as possible.

November

☐ Take out your planner and schedule time to start studying for your final exams, December will be here before you know it.
☐ Make sure you are attending the CU Succeed program to sharpen your skills!

December

☐ Make sure to attend the annual holiday tree lighting! It is full of fun and merriment for everyone.
☐ Study hard and try to ace those finals!
☐ Attend the finals breakfast.
☐ Access your fall grades online in AggieAccess.
☐ If you need to retake a course or are ineligible to proceed to the next course because of grades, consult your advisor as soon as possible to make the appropriate adjustments.
☐ Review the semester. Think about what worked well and what you might do different next semester.
☐ Choose a major.

January

☐ Make plans to participate in the Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service. It’s a great experience and a good resume builder.
☐ Update your campus address and cell phone number.
☐ Register on Optimal Resume and complete and submit a draft.  This will become an important document that will need to be updated throughout your career development.

☐ Make an advising appointment for early March. Schedule your appointment online at www.cameron.edu/advising-center by clicking on the “Book Now” button.
☐ Participate in Homecoming events.

March

☐ You should always know how you are doing in your classes. Midterm grades are posted in March in AggieAccess.
☐ Make sure you have an advising appointment and begin considering summer and fall enrollment.
☐ Check your finals schedule and make sure all your final exams are in your planner.

April

☐ Take out your planner and schedule time to start studying for your final exams, May will be here before you know it.
☐ If you live on campus, make sure to submit your information during Housing Status Week.
☐ Update your resume.  Be sure to add in awards, organizations, and volunteer work.

May

☐ Attend graduation to cheer on the accomplishments of your friends and get a feel of what it will be like in three years at your graduation!
☐ Access your spring grades online in AggieAccess.
☐ If you need to retake a course or are ineligible to proceed to the next course because of grades, consult your advisor as soon as possible to make the appropriate adjustments. Summer is a great semester to make up courses to keep you on track for graduation.
☐ Check Degree Works to see the progress you have made toward graduation.
