Career Services

Cameron University Career Services is available to assist you with every step of your career development journey. We provide access to career self-assessments, online job listings and internship opportunities, resume writing assistance and review, and advice on interviewing and networking skills.

Our Career Resources Center offers a lending library with career development books and DVDs and review preparation materials for graduate school exams such as the GRE, GMAT, and LSAT. We have a career resource room where you can work on your resume or utilize online resources. Throughout the year, we offer presentations and workshops on topics such as resume writing, professionalism, social media savvy, and how to navigate a career fair.

Getting Started

How do I choose a career?

Planning your career is much more than figuring out what you would like to do when you grow up. Career planning is the exploration and planning of career goals that are compatible with your interests, values, talents, personality and aspirations. We offer an on-line career assessment program which helps you learn more about your career interests by completing research-based inventories. You’ll explore a wide range of occupations and majors and have access to resources such as market and salary data.


Once you have a career plan in place, you will be able to take the necessary actions to obtain the education and training that will support your career plans, such as choosing a major. Careers Services also offers opportunities to help undecided majors learn more about the different degrees offered at Cameron University.
