Blackboard primarily serves to deliver online and hybrid courses; however, traditional lecture courses also contain a Blackboard component. You may find your syllabus and supplemental materials, access and submit assignments, and view recordings or collaborate online.
Where Do I Find Blackboard
- From the university homepage at www.cameron.edu - click on Blackboard on the upper right hand corner directly under the search bar.
- From within AggieAccess – click on Blackboard under Quick Links found on the right hand column on the home tab or on the left hand column on the My Info tab under Student Quick Links.

What Is My Login For Blackboard?
Your username is the first initial of your first name, first initial of your last name and last six digits of your student ID Number.
To create your initial password for Blackboard go to cameron.blackboard.com and select “Forgot Your Password?” Enter your First Name, Last Name, and Student User ID (Username). An email will be sent to your student email account with instructions to change the password.
Once you login to Blackboard, your courses will display on the “My Summary” page under “My Courses.” One of the courses you will always find there is “Blackboard Preparation for Students – Current Semester.” This course contains various tutorials and helpful information.
Location of Course Content
When you enter your course you generally land on the announcement page. On the left hand side of the course you will see the course menu. In the menu you will see “Start Here.” That will be the best place for you to begin. “Faculty Contact” contains the name and contact information of your professor. You will find the course syllabus under “Syllabus” and course documents, assignments, quizzes and exams, etc. under “Course Content”.
